Many years ago the family Saldivar and De Santiago, came from Colonia Modelo, Fresnillo, Zacatecas to the United States in hopes of success and the American Dream. The family knew the meaning of hard work and with their determination and desire of having their own business; they gathered their family recipes handed down generations to generations in hopes of opening a restaurant. The family hard work and dedication finally paid off and in 2002 opened their first business, a Panaderia and Taqueria. After 5 hard worked years, the opportunity came to open a business only dedicated to food and they decided it was time for a new beginning. In the summer of 2007 Mi Zacatecas Mexican Restaurant opened its doors to the community of American Canyon and so the dream of owning their own Successful business was put filled and a new page in their history book is waiting to be written...
